Who are we? What's our interest in ACEs? Part 22

Here are short bios of four more ACEs Connection members: Colleen Williams, Leslie Lieberman, Monica Sullivan, and Cynthia Shirley. Go to their pages to read more about them, friend them and/or send a message.

Colleen Williams, Mount Vernon, WA -- Colleen, who has been a psychiatric mental health nurse for more than 20 years, will graduate from the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practioner program at the University of Washington this week. She plans to pursue a doctor of nursing practice with a specialty in perinatal/infant mental health so that she can work with pregnant teens and have more of an impact on bonding and attachment and the reduction of ACEs. With an ACE score of 5, she's interested in finding ways to disseminate ACE Study findings through curriculum development, creative use of the media, and in designing community-based participatory research to integrate mental and physical health.

Leslie Lieberman, Philadelphia, PA -- Leslie directs the Multiplying Connections Initiative in Philadelphia. We are a collaborative of professionals working to build and sustain trauma-informed services for children in Philadelphia and translate the ACES research into practice.

Monica Sullivan, Philadelphia, PA  -- Monica is a training specialist for Health Federation of Philadelphia working to support systems transformation and public awareness about the impact of trauma on young lives and across the lifespan.

Cynthia Shirley, Philadelphia, PA  -- Cynthia is a social worker and trainer.
