These four members of ACEs Connection joined in early April (yep I'm way behind in member bios...but catching up): Sara Stalman, Edith Guerts, Jackie Smith Duggan, and Eugenia Vavra. On their pages you can message and friend them!
Sara Stalman, Brooklin, ME -- Sara is a retired physician who specialized in neuropsychiatry. In her practice, she noticed that 2/3 of her patients had suffered childhood trauma, which resulted in life-long chronic depression.
Edith Geurts, Zeist, Netherlands -- Edith is a context expert on domestic violence and child abuse for The Next Page International, an e-academy on child abuse & neglect and domestic violence.
Jackie Smith Duggan, Cedar Rapids, IA -- Jackie, who works in adult residential mental health, knows that her clients have experienced ACEs. She's finishing a masters degree in social work with an emphasis on ACEs. She's "very excited about this web site." (Thanks! I am, too!)
Eugenia Vavra, Cedar Rapids, IA -- Eugenia works in the health area for United Way, which focuses on finding solutions to community issues.
