Who are we? What's our interest in ACEs? Part 58

Jen Fiddner, Peg Tazewell, Larry Wohlgemuth and Heather Preston joined ACEs Connection in August. Here's some info about each, and a link to their profile pages, where you can friend them, send a message, and see all their comments and activity on the network.

Jen Fiddner, Pittsburgh, PA -- Jen's an epidemiology research associate in the Allegheny County Health Department and focuses on maternal and child health; she chairs the Allegheny County Child Death Review Team.

Peg Tazewell, Gambier, OH -- Peg is executive director of Knox County Head Start, Inc.

Larry Wohlgemuth, Ankeny, IA -- Larry is a speaker, writer, advocate, and has a long experience with complex trauma. He says his ACE score is a 7, and that EMDR, a well-known trauma therapy, set him free. You can find more information on his web site, LarryWohlgemuth.com.

Heather Preston, Redmond, WA -- Heather is a licensed mental health counselor working in Snohomish County in Washington State. She works primarily with women with children who are affected by chemical dependency, complex/developmental trauma and homelessness. Most of the folks she works with have a high ACE score and so do their children. She's interested in finding and developing effective treatments for, as well as raising awareness about, the unique complexities of women and children living at the intersection of trauma, addiction and poverty.
