As people have joined the network, I've asked them to provide some information about their interest in ACEs. Here are another three: Nancy Hardt, Anthoulla Koutsoudi and Marielle Dekker. Some of the responses are shortened, so there's a link to their page to read more about them, friend them and/or send a message.
Nancy Hardt, Micanopy, FL - Nancy, an ob-gyn and pathologist, thinks that ACES have something to do with premature birth. In trying to figure out ways to break the cycle of domestic violence, she's started screening for IPV in obstetrics and pediatric outpatient settings. The clinics have a law/medicine partnership and help IPV (interpersonal violence) victims with legal issues. The local sheriff and police do lethality assessments at every IPV call. Astonished at "how little of this makes it into medical school curriculum", she's working to change that at the University of Florida College of Medicine.
