More than an Event: Extending the Learning
The Inclusion Institute sells out months in advance--so register now.
This year's Institute will extend learning opportunities starting at registration. All registrants get free access to 8 online Connect Courses on Inclusion. These courses award CEUs, and several states have approved them for training.
FPG senior scientist Allison Metz will explain how to take what we know about inclusion and turn it into lasting practices and policies. Special education pioneer Ann Turnbull will facilitate a panel of families that will share their voices intermittently throughout the presentation, offering personal stories, strategies, and tips on inclusion.
The Federal Plenary Panel Returns
Last year at a special opening day plenary session (shown here), federal officials debuted the new draft federal policy statement on inclusion and heard feedback that led to new policy. The same panel returns 2016 with a new special plenary session on emerging information on federal early childhood policies and initiatives and implications for enhancing the quality of inclusive services for children and their families. Participants can ask questions and share their perspectives. (Plans also are in motion for an additional plenary session.)
Dozens of Concurrent Sessions
Sessions will cover hot topics in inclusion: challenging behavior; bias, expulsion, and suspension; friendships; dual-language learners; individualizing and challenging all children; learning in outdoor environments; supporting children with autism in inclusive environments--and much more!
You can read last year's program here or register now.
Dozens of world-class experts, dozens of groundbreaking sessions and workshops, free courses for CEUsβand an enduring impact.
