This fall, the Mississippi Department of Mental Health along with other state and local agencies will host the 6th Annual Mississippi Trauma Informed Care Conference. The conference will be held September 25- 27, 2019 at the Marriott Jackson Downtown. Each year, the conferences have brought together over 500 participants representing a diverse group of individuals with a common goal of providing the best services and supports to those who have experienced trauma.
The planning committee is seeking presentations for 60 - 90 minutes keynote presentations and 60 - 90 minutes breakout sessions. The committee is particularly seeking sessions that can be replicated, outcome based and address critical issues of importance in creating a trauma informed system of care.
Each presenter (up to three per session) is provided with free conference registration. Conference related expenses will be decided on an individual basis by the committee and budget allowances. Each room will have a laptop, projector, sound system and internet access.
