The WV Center for Children’s Justice Handle with Care Conference will focus on a trauma informed response to child maltreatment and children’s exposure to violence. Our goal is to provide you with current information to better help you serve those in our communities who experience abuse and violence. Sessions will include topics on the investigation, prosecution, and treatment of child maltreatment and family violence cases. We will also highlight our own WV Handle with Care program.
This is a virtual conference and the registration fee is $75.
Continuing Education Credit will be requested for:
• The Law Enforcement Training Subcommittee - up to 14 hours of annual in-service
• The WV Board of Social Work Examiners - up to 14 hours
• Continuing Legal Education - up to 14 hours
• WV Nursing Board - up to 14 hours
• WV Coalition Against Domestic Violence - up to 14 hours
• WV Board of Examiners of Psychologists - up to 14 hours
• Certification Board for Addiction and Prevention Professionals - up to 14 hours
• Board of Examiners in Counseling - up to 14 hours
• EMTs - up to 14 hours
(Graduate credit will be offered for a fee.)
