Friday, May 15, 2020 — Energizing a Trauma-Informed Response to COVID-19: Using and Advocating for Federal Funds
Federal funds are flowing to states that could be used in support of schools and other systems becoming trauma-informed and equipped to build resilience in the face of the pandemic. The National Trauma Campaign, sponsored by CTIPP, is recruiting and supporting volunteer leaders from all across the country to work locally and with Congress to ensure our nation responds to pandemic-induced adversities now and after the physical threat of COVID-19 is contained.
The Campaign and its rapidly growing nationwide network has a goal of making the U.S. a trauma-informed and healing-centered society. Join this discussion to learn more about influencing the use of federal COVID-19 response funds, advocating for additional federal support of trauma-informed responses to the pandemic, and becoming a member of the National Trauma Campaign. As a voting constituent of your congressional delegation, you can make valuable contributions that can only come from one source—you!
Dan Press, Jesse Kohler and Marlo Nash, all members of the National Trauma Campaign Core Team, will be presenting. Elizabeth Prewitt, policy analyst for ACEs Connection, will host the session. Alison Cebulla, Northeast community facilitator for ACEs Connection, will moderate.
