Stress and fear are part of everyday life, but did you know traumatic events in early childhood could attribute to emotional, behavioral and physical health problems in adults, creating a need for more detailed care? The Trauma-Informed Community Initiative of Western New York is hosting an all-day conference featuring presentations by authors Robin Karr-Morse and Meredith S. Wiley, whose book Scared Sick: The Role of Childhood Trauma in Adult Disease, examines the impact of early-life trauma on adult disorders. The agenda also includes a panel discussion by local medical professionals and the opportunity for a book signing. The cost is $30 person, which includes lunch.
