Organized By: The Lieutenant Governor's Circle on Mental Health and Addiction

The same program will be presented on:

March 24th 6:00pm-9:00pm

March 25th 6:00pm-9:00pm

The evening is FREE to everyone and will include a panel discussion with local experts and people with lived experience.

Addiction is an illness that consumes and destroys lives. Yet, we are still existing in a "blame the victim" society and far too many people are fighting this battle in secret.

In our continuing effort to keep the conversation about mental health going, the LG's Circle and partners are delighted to present Joseph Skrajewski (MA, MFTI),  the Director of Medical Education Programs and Initiatives at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California.

Joseph will discuss the realities (and misconceptions) about addiction with insight and empathy, which come from his years of professional service in the field, but also from his own past struggles with addiction.

Panelists are:

Mike Ryan – Founder/CEO, Clean Scene Network

Conway Kootany – Founder/Performer, Red Power Squad

Dr. Charl Els – Registered Psychiatrist, Addictions Specialist

Dr. Nicole Sherran  - Neuroscientist, Norlien Foundation
