Whether a trauma is physical in nature or not, the proven relationship between trauma and its effects on the body and brain, from the field of neuroscience is mounting. Clinically, we are met with the challenge of how to incorporate somatics into our practices.  This presentation focuses on treatment methods that utilize somatics in the healing process specifically for the co-occurrence of trauma and eating disorders Modalities such as EMD-R, EFT, and other such cutting edge treatment techniques will be discussed.

Conference fee: $125 ($100 for APTED members; $60 for students & interns).

(At this point, we are still under-subscribed, so I am willing to talk to anyone who needs a scholarship slot, or who needs a volunteer slot, and am willing to consider attendees who can only donate whatever they can donate.  There is only space for 60 people in the audience, so people NEED to RSVP, and if you want us to provide you with the lunch we are providing, then you need to donate at least $10, but we want to have an active, lively, engaged and interested audience, so are motivated to attract as many attendees as we can, regardless of the amount people can pay.  Clinicians can also let their patients know that people in recovery are welcome, as well.  If you cannot come, but you think patients of yours would benefit, by all means let them know.  Thanks!)
