Join us for two days focused on best practices for case managers working with people experiencing homelessness. Through interactive sessions, we will offer ways to hone your skills and network with peers. Selected topics include:
• Motivational Interviewing
• Core skills of case management
• Using every possible resource to focus on housing
• Housing search, housing first, and your role in housing retention
• Keeping people housed: creating a housing stability plan
• What is trauma and why does it matter?
• Implementing principles of trauma-informed care
• Adapting policies and procedures to be trauma-informed
We will approach all of these topics from a trauma-informed, person-centered, recovery-oriented perspective.
