Join the Center for the Study of Social Policy and a panel of parents and stakeholders to learn about the impact of temporary investments made in families last year by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and to hear discussion around what’s needed now: permanent investments in families.
The event will synthesize CSSP’s recent research with 45 Black and Latinx families in Michigan, Mississippi, and North Carolina on the impact of ARPA’s short-term investments in the Child Tax Credit (CTC) and child care. It will feature lively discussion of what worked, what did not work, and what’s needed next from the perspective of stakeholders and parents in Michigan, Mississippi, and North Carolina, including:
- Dr. Aisha Nyandoro, CEO of Springboard To Opportunities located in Mississippi
- Anthony Queen, father and parent advocate both nationally and in Michigan
- Amy Cubbage, President of the North Carolina Partnership for Children
- Davida Dawson, mother and early childhood educator in North Carolina
