Voices for Virginia’s Children is hosting the Beyond Trauma: Youth Mental Health Policy and Practice Summit on October 11, 2023 in Richmond, Virginia.
Voices' 2023 summit is intended to explore solutions to Virginia's youth mental health crisis through the lens of Healing Centered Engagement. “Healing Centered Engagement” offers a holistic approach to trauma that shifts our focus from pathology (trauma) to possibility (well-being). We are thrilled to bring Dr. Shawn Ginwright to Virginia as our keynote speaker and to join hands with partners in both healing and demanding a better Virginia for our young people.
With 12 invigorating workshops across three tracks (Individual, Interpersonal, and Institutional), attendees will walk away with tools to embark on their healing journey and ways to incorporate healing into youth policy and practice.
