Susan Reedy
Susan Reedy is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a private practice in Arcadia, CA. She is senior faculty and trainer for the Trauma Resource Institute teaching parents, caregivers, students, school counselors and faculty the Community Resiliency Model skills.
Susan has shared the TRM/CRM model with teachers and counselors in Riverside Unified and Fresno Unified School districts in California, as well as in the Wake County public school system in North Carolina. She is a member of the Association for Play Therapists and has presented multiple times at the annual Southern California Regional Play Therapy Conference.
Susan also specializes in Child-Centered Play Therapy and is a Level 2 DIRFloortime practitioner, having trained extensively with Stanley Greenspan and Serena Wieder. She enjoys working with families with children with developmental delays, autistic spectrum disorder, sensory regulation issues and trauma histories. Along with her private practice, Susan worked for thirteen years as a consultant at Mayfield Junior School, an independent K-8 school in Pasadena, CA where she taught parent education courses and introduced CRM Skills to 2nd-5th graders. Watching students and their parents learn how to track their bodies and restore balance to their nervous system is one of the greatest gifts she believes she can offer families.
Kelly Purcell
Kelly Purcell has a masters degree in teaching (MAT), is a certified Community Resiliency Model (CRM)® teacher, 200-Hour trauma-informed yoga teacher, and the founder of Ground.Connect.Empower. LLC that provides consulting, training, and coaching to coach people, helping them incorporate science-based tools into their lives, positively impacting the well-being of the individual and their community.
Kelly has 10 years of experience working in P-8 schools in both public and private school settings in Washington, Oregon, and North Carolina. Her experience includes working as a classroom teacher, Instructional Coach, and Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) Coordinator.
Kelly has shared the CRM® skills with more than 1,000 people from around the world, working in a variety of professions including local workshops for teachers, social workers, and community members in Wilmington, North Carolina. In addition, Kelly has done webinars for PACEs Connection, presented at the National Darkness to Light Annual Prevention Conference, facilitated through the Trauma Resource Institute for CRM teacher trainings for employees at the Los Angeles Department of Mental Health, school social workers for Cleveland County Schools in North Carolina as well as public teacher trainings for folks from around the world.
Kelly has extensive knowledge about the science of positive and adverse childhood experiences (PACEs) and trauma, and is deeply passionate about helping people learn wellness skills to regulate the nervous system, fostering their resilience to cultivate well-being for themselves and their community.
