An Online Event with Pierre-Etienne Vannier MSc, CHt
Breath is life. Many traditions remind us to practice breathing to preserve health. During this group, we practice how to reclaim the healing power of our breath by focusing inwards and connecting to our bodies’ inner wisdom through traditional pranayama breathing practices within an online group gathering. Most of this group work is experiential. As shared by one participant: “This is the first time doing comprehensive breathing meditation. It released both mental stress, and physical discomforts caused by my treatments. It’s a relief to feel these healthy sensations in my body.” Another participant added: "The breath is an integral part of the healing journey. The online group helped me make a connection with the energy of the group. Learning to allow the breath to help unstuck certain things within my body made such a difference in my continued self-care."
To promote connection and create a safe space for healing, you will be invited to have your camera on during the initial check-in. You are welcome to turn your camera off during practice for more privacy.
To be able to make the most out of this practice, you will be invited to practice laying down (on your bed, sofa, yoga mat, etc). Please wear comfortable clothes. Pillows, blankets, and other props can also be used during our time together to make this experience more comfortable. You can also use earphones for a more immersive experience. It is best to practice on an empty/light stomach. Please avoid eating/drinking too much before the class.
