Changing Minds (free webinar) Futures Without Violence National Campaign

Futures Without Violence, in collaboration with the Ad Council, has partnered with the US Department of Justice to develop a national campaign that will raise awareness, teach skills, and inspire public action to address children’s exposure to violence and childhood trauma.

Called “Changing Minds” and scheduled to launch the week of September 5th, the campaign will 1) educate on the problem of childhood trauma and the solutions that exist; 2) advance programs and practices that help to make schools, homes, and communities safer for children and youth, and 3) help grow leadership in various fields (e.g., education, health, community, and justice).

A short list of campaign toolkit materials we will preview on the webinar include:

  • Three powerful videos highlighting the difference that a caring and consistent adult can have in the life of a child
  • Talking points and citable content on topics such as brain development, childhood exposure to violence and its connection to chronic health problems, ways professionals working with children can help kids heal, and research on Adverse Childhood Experiences
  • Sample social messaging posts
  • Web banners
  • Posters, print collateral, and more!

Please join us for one of two webinars introducing the Changing Minds campaign. The dates are in the third week of August: Wednesday, 8/17 at 11am PT (2pm ET) or Thursday, 8/18 at 11am PT (2pm ET
