Changing Social Norms & Building Movements What is it? Why does it matter? How does it happen?
Social norms change takes place when a critical mass of people reform their actions and revise their underlying views on an issue, and through this revision, contribute to significant long-term transformation in society. Social norms change, coupled with narrative change, is an essential ingredient to any successful social movement.
In this webinar series, The California Endowment is inviting practitioners and scholars to share strategies for TCE staff, grantees and partners working towards narrative change as they transform social norms in their own communities.
