Echo Parenting & Education are proud to present our annual Changing the Paradigm Conference. This year our theme is Trauma and the Developing Child. Have you heard the term "Developmental Trauma?" Not many people have since this is new language and heralds a shift in understanding to the fact that many of our physical, mental and social problems are actually manifestations of the developmental effects of trauma. At Echo, we have long understood that some forms of child raising actually create childhood toxic stress. We are pleased to be partnering with experts in the field of developmental trauma to address both trauma and the protective and mitigating effects of safe, stable nurturing relationships - the goal of our nonviolent childraising philosophy.
At this landmark conference not only will you have a chance to hear the best in the field gathered together for the first time under the banner of developmental trauma, but you will also receive tools for practice. We also have a track covering Trauma Informed Standards of Care so you can hear how to create systems-level change so that traumatized families and children will have the safe, nurturing environments they need to heal.
