Clackamas County is offering free classes for women affected by domestic violence.

The Women's Empowerment Project is designed to help women who have been emotionally or physically abused by a current or former partners.

The 14-week classes will cover the cycle of violence, coping mechanisms, effects of abuse on children and safety planning.
