The conference, Shattered From Tragedy to Triumph, Creating Trauma-Informed Communities will feature Dr. Lisa Conradi from Rady Childrens Hospital, San Diego and Sharon and Mia Behrens, formally from Hanford. Dr. Conradi is the Project Manager for a nationwide effort to train on trauma screening, assessment and treatment. Mia Behrens was the subject of a CBS Evening News feature in 2007 and several books by Dr. Lenore Terr on trauma and children. Sharon Behrens, Mias adoptive mother, presents with Mia, now a college student, on healing circles. The two of them presented to the National Pediatric Society's annual conference.
