Data You Can Count On: The State of Delaware’s Children & Delaware Blue Bow

KIDS COUNT in Delaware cordially invites you to our 2016- 21st edition- KIDS COUNT in Delaware/FAMILIES COUNT in Delaware Fact Book Release and Briefing. Attendees will get the first look into this year’s data book that focuses on outcomes and opportunities for ensuring success for Delaware’s children.

Frameworks Institute designs, conducts and publishes communications research to prepare nonprofit organizations to expand their constituency base, to build public will and to further public understanding of specific social issues. Listen to the latest on effective communication skills around “brain architecture.”

Participate in the state’s 7th annual Blue Bow event highlighting the importance of child abuse prevention. Child Abuse Prevention Month is observed across the nation in April. The blue bow campaign began over twenty years ago when a grandmother in Virginia tied a blue bow around the antenna of her car as a memorial to her grandson, a tragic victim of child abuse. Her simple act ignited a national campaign to prevent and stop child abuse.

Join us directly following the event (Noon until 3:30) to participate in a conversation with policy makers, practitioners, and supporters interested in providing input to the newly formed Delaware Afterschool Network. Topics to include helping students become thriving, productive adults; aligning, reinforcing, and enriching the school day; and building a supportive state afterschool network.
