Group work is a common practice method utilized in today's social service agencies to affect client's individual growth and social functioning. This training is designed for those new to group facilitation or those who have not had formal education and training in this area. At the end of this training attendees will know and understand the stages of group development; the importance of screening and matching group participants; know at least three "do's" and don'ts" of group facilitation and be able to apply best practices of group facilitation in a trauma-informed, gender-responsive environment.

Eileen Russo, MA, LADC,Β is a licensed addiction counselor, certified clinical supervisor, and certified co-occurring disorder professional. She has worked in the addiction and mental health field for 26 years.
