A powerful family weekend experience for adoptive families or biological families affected by trauma and attachment issues is happening in Southern CA January 25-27 in Menifee, CA. I want to extend an invitation to any adoptive families who would like to better understand and support their child who has had trauma and build the connection they would like to have.
Family Challenge Camps is a weekend event led by myself (a physician), a team of therapists with trauma and attachment backgrounds and experienced therapeutic Moms. At Family Challenge, families are supported, educated and led through fun trust-building activities. Parents are empowered with techniques in regulation and attunement, essentials for healing trauma and attachment issues. Sensory issues, key medical tests, dietary factors, trauma therapies, neuro-developmental therapies, medications and supplements are discussed.
This is an intense and full program! We want this weekend to be a turning point in healing their child’s trauma and attachment issues and making those heart connections solid. We are different than many other programs in that camp is for the whole family, not just for the child or the parents. Siblings come and grandparents or other key figures in the family are highly encouraged to come.
