At a community forum Monday night, representatives from the Centers of Disease Control will discuss how childhood trauma can cause health problems later in life.

The forum is geared to business leaders and will focus on how physical abuse, domestic violence or parental incarceration can affect their employees' job performance.

The talk is sponsored by the Cowlitz Community Network, a volunteer community service organization trying to create a healthier community. It is hosting a series of focus about the contribution of adverse childhood experiences to the Cowlitz County’s poor health rankings.
