Cinema and Chat is a free movie screening of the documentary Resilience: The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope. The documentary reveals how adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and toxic stress can trigger hormones that wreak havoc on the brains and bodies of children, putting them at a greater risk for disease, homelessness, prison time, and early death.
This event includes networking with other New York State residents, medical students, attendings, psychologists, social workers, school teachers and community leaders and an expert panel discussion following the movie screening. This event is open to everyone and anyone so feel free to share! Refreshments will be served!
