When treatment ends, how do we prevent our traumatized children and families from relapsing? And how do we help our families recognize the early signs of relapse before they occur? To address these challenges, the Family Systems Trauma (FST) model developed the FST Red Flags Checklist technique. This checklist is co-created by both the FST therapist and the family to initiate what are called “protective factors” to prevent relapse, solidify positive treatment gains, and to initiate callback check-ins.
In this webinar, participants will learn:
• Why the FST Red Flags Checklist is needed to prevent relapse and how it incorporates what is called “protective factors” to help ensure permanent or second-order change.
• The four parts of a Red Flags Checklist and how and why it is used with a case example:
Part I: Areas of the Trauma Playbook Not Followed
Part II: Areas of Safety
Part III: Unhealthy Undercurrents or Trauma Symptoms Return
Part IV: Date for First Call Back
• Why proactive callbacks using the red flags checklist for the first 90 days after treatment ends are so critical to prevent relapse.
Live Q & A will be available. The on-demand link will be sent to all registered participants for viewing up to 10 days after the live webinar.
NOTE: Continuing education credits and attendance certificates are NOT available for this webinar.
