The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Public Health (DPH) announces the availability of funds for the Wisconsin Sexual Violence Prevention (SVP) program.
Wisconsin SVP is funded by the Rape Prevention and Education (RPE) grant. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) established this grant program to provide population based funding to health departments in the United States, Pacific Island Territories and Jurisdictions, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the District of Columbia. The purpose of these funds is to address sexual violence using a public health approach and prevent first time perpetration and victimization of sexual violence through the implementation of comprehensive primary prevention strategies.
Wisconsin SVP aims to work with diverse communities to increase health and safety by addressing the root causes of sexual violence through the implementation of primary prevention strategies across different levels of the social ecological model.
