Gender equity: What can other countries teach us?

Online

Gender should never limit opportunities for health and well-being.

Yet in the U.S., working moms of color are paid less for the same work, men who take paternity leave are often stigmatized, and gender non-conforming people continue to face discrimination in health care and other settings.

While our nation has made progress toward gender equity, other countries offer important insights as we work to accelerate change and close gender gaps. What can we learn from places like London, where the gender pay gap has been eliminated among the city's workforce? Or from Freetown, Sierra Leone, where 50 percent of the city's councilors are women?

Join us on March 11, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. ET for the next webinar in our Reimagined in America series, What Can the World Teach Us About Advancing Gender Equity, to discuss:

  • Why gender equity is good for our health
  • What we can learn from countries-like Rwanda, Nicaragua and others-that are tackling gender equity alongside other forms of discrimination
  • How you can adopt a gender equity lens in your work
