NW Children’s Foundation (in Seattle, WA) offers an annual forum as an opportunity to deepen learning with a vision of a world where all children can live in safe, equitable, nurturing communities.
This year, the online forum is featuring Dr. Shawn Ginwright: Healing-Centered Practices & Childhood Trauma: Reimagining Ourselves and Transforming Our Work with Children and Families. Dr. Ginwright will share his practical wisdom, experience, and insight from his latest groundbreaking book: The Four Pivots: Reimagining Justice, Reimagining Ourselves. An expert in working with youth who have experienced inequity, adversity and trauma, Ginwright contends that healing – both on an individual and collective level – is the most important aspect of social change.
Registration Link: https://nwcf.org/events/forum/. There are three registration prices: $45, $25, and FREE. NWCF does not want cost to be a barrier for anyone to participate. For those in the United States, NWCF is also offering CEUs and STARS credits (regardless of registration level).
Dr. Ginwright invites us to consider what Ben McBride says :
“Who do we need to become in order to create the world that we want to see?”
If people are not able to participate during the live session, the forum is recorded and will be available for anyone registered.
Here is a short video from Dr. Ginwright from a panel hosted by the Marguerite Casey Foundation for background.
Thank you for sharing with others who might be interested!
