Racism is omnipresent and significantly impacts people and communities of color every day. Although the negative impact of trauma has long been recognized, the impact of racial trauma has been relatively neglected. This forum will discuss racism as a traumatic stressor and provide an overview of clinical interventions aimed at addressing the mental health consequences of racism.
