Intimate Partner Violence and Safety During COVID-19 (Harvard to Mental Health Forum Series)

Racism is omnipresent and significantly impacts people and communities of color every day.  Although the negative impact of trauma has long been recognized, the impact of racial trauma has been relatively neglected. This forum will discuss racism as a traumatic stressor and provide an overview of clinical interventions aimed at addressing the mental health consequences of racism.

This Harvard Mental Health Forum features a discussion between:

Dr. Karestan Koenen
Professor of Psychiatric Epidemiology
Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health

Dr. Jessica Graham-LoPresti
Assistant Professor of Psychology
Suffolk University

Dr. Tahirah Abdullah
Associate Professor of Psychology
University of Massachusetts Boston
