New York State is on the verge of replacing the familiar GED with the nation's first alternative high school equivalency exam. Join the Center for an Urban Future and the Schuyler Center for Analysis and Advocacy at a high-profile symposium in Albany to explore the big questions about the Regents' ambitious plan. What would it mean for the 2.9 million New Yorkers who lack a high school diploma? What are the risks? Are there new opportunities we should be thinking about? What should the transition look like? Can the State continue to pay for everyone who takes the test?
Attendance is free. To register, RSVP via e-mail at rsvp@nycfuture.org or via phone at 212-479-3319.
