Webinar Description:
Given the high rates of trauma exposure in the general population, health and human service providers recognize the need to integrate trauma-informed practice (TIP) into their work. Trauma-informed practice supports, empowers, and respects service users and staff, and prioritizes the voices of program participants in all levels of the organization. As organizations move toward becoming more trauma-informed, they need ways to measure their progress in implementing trauma-informed principles and practices. Until recently, few tools existed to support them in doing so. This is an enormous gap, limiting organizations' capacity to learn and grow or to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses. This webinar will highlight two empirically supported measures of trauma-informed practice.
After this training, participants will be better able to:
- Describe the domains of trauma-informed practice measures in the TICOMETER and TIP
- Administer the TICOMETER and TIP
