On June 2–5, 2013, the National Children’s Alliance will host its annual Leadership Conference in Washington, DC. In keeping with the conference theme “On the Horizon: The Next Chapter in Child Advocacy,” experts will lead sessions designed to assist children’s advocacy center professionals best support abused children and their families. Topics include creating trauma-informed child-serving systems, screening and assessing trauma, developing effective advocacy programs, fundraising, grant writing, effective use of social media tips, and community partnering. Attendees will have the opportunity to visit Capitol Hill to meet policymakers and to tour the children's advocacy center in Washington, DC.
