The Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance for a 1½ day conference focused on preventing sexual violence perpetration and understanding the impact of trauma on developing healthy sexuality. Participants will explore “normal” sexual development in young people, expand their understanding of healthy sexuality, learn the basics of incorporating a healthy sexuality framework as a means to strengthen sexual violence prevention efforts, learn about the increased risk for negative health outcomes as a result of traumatic life experiences, and build skills for developing strategies that promote healthy sexuality and healing across the lifespan.

Staff and volunteers of Sexual and Domestic Violence Agencies, public health, child abuse prevention and treatment, school resource officers, teachers, juvenile justice, counselors, and anyone else interested in learning strategies to prevent intimate partner violence and sexual violence!
