Racial Equity and Justice in Philanthropy Funders' Summit

Online

Racial Equity and Justice in Philanthropy Funders' Summit

From The Circle, LEVEL at Vancouver Foundation & Real Estate Foundation of BC:

We’re calling on practitioners of philanthropy - peers, questioners, volunteers - all are welcome to join us in an immersive multi-day experience that will enable you to meet others, do personal reflection related to racial equity and justice in your work and consider how to implement what you’re learning from others into your practice.

If you are in philanthropy and currently asking yourself questions like:

• How do I do less harm as a White person in this space?

• How can I feel the rage, find my people and strategize for change?

• How might I create a space for conversations centering racial equity and justice with my board, investment managers and donors?

• How can I even get started on this pathway, when there is so much to learn, consider and do?

• How can I do the labour required of me and be a solid accomplice in the movement for justice?

Then this is the space for your learning; the space to be among peers; to design a pathway for your learning and to know that you’re not alone in this labour for liberation.

To best participate you will need to do the following:

1. REGISTER & tell everyone you know working in philanthropy that they should register too

• We encourage you to attend and join us for BOTH days if you are available. You will need to register for both days separately. This will help ensure our capacity to host you in a meaningful way.
