We’re Going Virtual! 20 Events over 20 Days in June 2020
As the nation responds to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become clear that a face-to-face convening in Los Angeles this year just isn’t possible. As a result, we’re happy to announce an exciting alternative which maintains the physical distance required of this moment while providing a range of enriching and engaging capacity building events - Rise Up for Equity: A VIRTUAL Summit on Community Schools & Family Engagement!
Beginning on June 1st, there will be 20 days of plenary, workshop, and deep-dive sessions. The virtual summit offers the best of both worlds, combining the content, networks and expertise from IEL’s flagship events, the Community Schools National Forum and the National Family and Community Engagement Conference. The move to a virtual convening will be an engaging and truly collaborative experience for parents, youth, school and school district leaders, community organizers, elected officials, state vocational rehabilitation, workforce development, education, justice and health system professionals, early childhood educators, university faculty, union activists, disability advocates, researchers, system builders and more--from all 50 states, the federal district, territories and around the world to learn with and from one another.
