The San Diego Conference focuses on multi-disciplinary best-practice efforts to prevent, evaluate, investigate, treat, and prosecute child and family maltreatment.

 

Objective

The objective of the San Diego Conference is to develop and enhance professional skills and knowledge in the prevention, recognition, assessment and treatment of all forms of maltreatment including those related to family violence as well as to enhance investigative and legal skills. Issues concerning support for families, prevention, leadership, policy making and translating the latest research into action are also addressed.

Offering a terrific agenda of evidence and research-based topics, as well as current thinking and new ideas. Presented by international experts and practitioners in the field. Our top notch faculty will impart strong science-based interventions with practical experience and real world solutions.

 

Our multi-disciplinary program offers courses in medicine, mental health, trauma treatment, child welfare, law, investigations, forensic interviewing, research, child torture, human trafficking, Indian country, infant and early childhood mental health, law & ethics courses for LCSW licensing, returning veterans & their families, plus global perspectives for professionals working with children and families involved in maltreatment.
