Spirituality and Its Effects on Wellness and Behavior [Hamden, CT]
Healing Arts Series
Spirituality and Its Effects on
Wellness and Behavior
This course will include experiential exercises in support of shedding light on the often misunderstood realm of mind-body wellness techniques
Monday, September 28th 8:30am to 12:45pm
at the Connecticut Women's Consortium
Wellness techniques such as meditation, yoga, breathing, and other mind-body practices are often misinterpreted as "only for the religious" or "only physical exercise." As a result, these self-soothing practices that rejuvenate, restore, and calm are not fully embraced. This workshop offers experiential exercises that address the benefits of mind-body techniques from a health and wellness perspective. It also explores the frequency and tone of words and phrases that support mind, body, spirit integration. Techniques are provided throughout to create a vocabulary and structure that builds an internal bridge to the spiritual self.
FEE: $45 | CEUs: 4 - NASW, CCB and CME (upon request)
Note: This training meets the NASW Requirements for Cultural Competency CEUs
