The challenges that come with chronic stress are exacerbated by adversity in childhood, socio-economic opportunity gaps, discrimination, violence and a host of other longstanding problems. This is especially true for youth of color, who are at disproportionately higher risk of school failure and juvenile justice involvement.
During this inspiring day long event you will hear from experts in the field, work together in breakout workshops focused on tools for stress management and resilience, and engage with a panel of skillful leaders on what youth of color need to succeed. Together we will explore what's needed for our communities, schools and families to grow and thrive.
