Systems Change through an Equity Lens: Lessons from Diverse Communities (webinar)

When funders, public entities, and nonprofit organizations design a strategy to change systems, it is imperative to integrate an equity lens—striving to eradicate structural and racial inequities that serve as barriers to that change, and incorporating the perspectives and lived experiences of everyone with a vital stake in the outcome.

This SSIR Live! program will explore:

  • How different organizations, in different communities, define equity in the context of systems change
  • Ways to effectively integrate an equity lens into systems change initiatives, and what that looks like at different stages of a community systems change initiative
  • Practical experiences of community organization leaders

Program Features:

Expert Speakers: Seth Klukoff is the senior director of communications at Equal Measure. He has worked extensively with organizations in the nonprofit arena—from foundations and think tanks to advocacy groups and large research organizations—as well as in the for-profit sector. Therese Ivancovich is the executive director of the Denver Education Attainment Network. Therese works with a community-wide network of nonprofit, business, government and education partners to improve college outcomes for Denver students. Melissa Hall Sommer  is the senior director of Family Economic Success at Brighton Center.
