Exploring the School-to-Prison Pipeline

This will be a powerful discussion with foster youth who have been impacted by the juvenile justice system. We will analyze why foster youth are criminalized, and discuss disciplinary policies and practices within schools that put students into contact with law enforcement, which often leads incarceration. Lastly, panelist will discuss the positive and negative effects of rehabilitation.
