"Toxic Stress" is topic for Pueblo Chamber luncheon

Children who experience extreme stress or trauma before entering school are more likely to struggle in school and as adults in the workplace and the world, according to a local organization dedicated to preventing and mending the impact of “toxic stress” on Pueblo’s children.

Businesses and organizations that serve or treat young children are invited to learn more about the initiative during a presentation March 13 as part of the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon at the Pueblo Convention Center. The presentation will be sponsored by the Pueblo Early Childhood Council.
