This workshop will reference the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study (ACEs) as a foundation for presenting one community’s effort to put research into practice and create a

Trauma Informed Community. Strengths, challenges and lessons learned in community implementation will be

explored.

The Eastern Iowa–Western Illinois Trauma Informed Care Consortium will “launch” as a bi-state community initiative, focusing our community’s collective efforts to create impact!

Guest Speakers Teri Barila & Mark Brown from Walla Walla, WA, will provide an overview of how they have moved the information from the ACE study into their community.
