STRIVE 3-Hour Trauma 101 Workshop for Early Education and Care

STRIVE (Supportive Trauma Interventions for Educators), is a collaborative project between Boston Medical Center’s Child Witness to Violence Project and Vital Village Network that aims to help schools and early education systems of care increase their capacity to identify, respond to, and optimally support the unique needs of young children who have been impacted by trauma exposure. These trainings are supported by the Attorney General’s Office Trauma-Informed Care for Young Children Grant Program.
The STRIVE 3-Hour Trauma 101 Workshop includes:
- Define trauma exposure
- Neurological, social, and emotional impacts of trauma
- Enhancing resilience and protective factors strategies
- Complimentary open access webinars on relevant topics
Audience: Massachusetts Early Education and Care (EEC) settings, including:
- Programs and Businesses: center-based, Head Start or Early Head Start, home/family-based childcare, out-of-school time, pre-school, etc.
- Providers and Administrators: director or business owner, educator/provider lead or assistance, social worker, counselor, special education, etc.
Duration: 3 Hours
Credit: Certificate of Completion
Benefits: Attendees will have access to webinars on topics related to implementing trauma-informed practices in Early Education and Care (EEC) settings
