This webinar provides an introduction and overview toΒ Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based treatment model that addresses the multiple impacts of trauma for children and adolescents and their parents or primary caregivers.

The webinar describes three TF-CBT treatment principles (proportionality of phase-based treatment; use of gradual exposure to trauma reminders; parental inclusion) and
the core TF-CBT treatment components summarized by the acronym PRACTICE (psychoeducation; parenting skills; relaxation skills; affective modulation skills; cognitive processing skills; trauma narrative and processing; in vivoΒ mastery or trauma reminders; conjoint child-parent sessions; enhancing safety).

The webinar includes brief clinical examples of how to implement the PRACTICE component and provides free resources for learning more about TF-CBT.
