This certification workshop, taught by Connection Coalition's Siha Collins & Shante Haymore Kearney is for anyone who would like to provide outreach yoga programming at schools, shelters, rehab facilities, or through other non- profit organizations. Working with these populations require special skills and approaches so that you can connect with the participants.
This course will cover:

Intro to trauma and how it is held in the body
4 types of students
Privilege & Access
Showing up and speaking authentically
Appropriate touch
Sequencing, lesson plans & practice teaching
As of 2019, CoCo has connected with over 17,000 kids and trained more than 3,200 volunteer teachers across the US! CoCo offers classes at MANY South Florida locations working within the juvenile justice system with schools, youth centers and other non-profit organizations. We are looking for more yoga teachers (or yoga lovers who want to serve) to join our team for volunteer programming.

A teacher, storyteller, experiential creative and much more, Siha fills up spaces with her unique brand of humor and ease to create transformative practices that help people connect to themselves and each other. Siha is the creator of Yellow Mat Yoga, a wellness lifestyle brand + studio located in Decatur, GA. In addition to her work as a Cannabis educator and activist, Siha is proud to serve as Brand + Social Impact Manager for Connection Coalition, a non-profit that offers trauma-informed outreach education and yoga programming across the country while facilitating meaningful conversations about race, power, and privilege.
ShantΓ© Haymore Kearney
ShantΓ© Haymore-Kearney is a champion for personal empowerment and wellness of the mind, body, and soul. In 2011, she became certified as a RYT-200 and since then, she has guided and taught hundreds of people to connect with their inner peace and personal power through movement and meditation. Shante believes there is a spark inside of everyone that was meant to be lit and set ablaze.Shante\' is known for her 'Manifest Your Life' Vision Board Workshops. Shante\' credits vision boards for being an incredible tool to manifest some of the most meaningful things and experiences in her life, including a husband, a child, cars, trips, and other forms of abundance. She started leading Vision Board workshops in 2014 and it never ceases to amaze her and the results her participants get. As a Manifestation Coach, she leads and guides people to get clear on their authentic desires and boldly manifest their lives. Shante' believes that living with intention is a necessity to fulfillment. She has facilitated these workshops in a variety of settings including corporations team building retreats, women and children's transition shelter, non-profits, private sessions, and to the general public. She shares "tools for mindful living" through classes, workshops, and retreats to help people maneuver the challenges and successes of life. Through it all, Shante' continues to strive for balance while creating a purposeful life filled with gratitude.
