This certification workshop, taught by Connection Coalition's Founder Terri Cooper Space is for anyone who would like to provide outreach yoga programming at schools, shelters, rehab facilities, or through other non- profit organizations. Working with these populations require special skills and approaches so that you can connect with the participants.

Intro to trauma and how it is held in the body
4 types of students
Privledge & Access
Showing up and speaking authentically
Appropriate touch
Sequencing, lesson plans & practice teaching
As of 2018, CoCo has connected with over 17,000 kids and trained more than 3,200 volunteer teachers across the US! CoCo offers classes at MANY South Florida locations working within the juvenile justice system with schools, youth centers and other non-profit organizations. We are looking for more yoga teachers (or yoga lovers who want to serve) to join our team for volunteer programming.

Training Facilitator: Terri Cooper Space
Terri Cooper Space is the founder of Connection Coalition (formerly Yoga Gangsters), a non-profit organization that collaborates with schools, jails, foster homes, crisis centers and rehabs across 17 states to bring yoga, meditation and mindfulness to youth. Based in Miami, Florida, she is the owner of 305 YOGA, a karma yoga school with two locations and 10 years of service. A long time trainer of teachers, Terri co-authored the curriculum for international yoga brand ALL YOU CAN YOGA and she is on faculty with OFF THE MAT, INTO THE WORLD.
Known for her strong spiritual message delivered through an uncensored teaching style, Terri drives a slow yet challenging vinyasa practice with an accent on alignment and safety. She is committed to diversifying the face and shape of yoga, and can be found at conferences and festivals spreading the message that yoga is for bodies of all size, color and level of experience.
