What is the Sanctuary Model? The Sanctuary Model® represents a theory-based, trauma-informed, evidence-supported, whole culture approach that has a clear and structured methodology for creating or changing an organizational culture. This course provides a description of trauma and its impact on individuals seeking public health, behavioral health, and other health and human services. By the end of the workshop, you will understand how individuals who have experienced trauma remain affected, how they present in public health settings, and ways to change the delivery of public health programs and services to better meet the needs of this population.
