Using Creative Expression to Build Resilience in Tweens and Teens

This 1-hour webinar will introduce you to Art with Heart’s (AwH) curriculum and therapeutic activity books developed for middle school and high school-aged kids, including Ink About It (IAI) and Chill & Spill (C&S). You will learn how to help engage kids in creative expression and how to respond to their art in a way that builds connections with them and their emotions. One hands-on art activity will provide an opportunity to experience creative expression for yourself, and you’ll be ready to use it with kids right away.

Objectives

Learn how to use AwH’s resources with the kids you serve
Build comfort using various art materials and methods
Understand how creative expression helps kids name and manage their emotions, develop strategies for coping, and build resilience
